I had a Face Book friend send me a video from a Czech woman about wearing masks.
What I loved about the video was the part where she said, “I protect you. You protect me.” This was before WHO changed their stance on personal masks. I also liked how, at least in the news, the country came together to get masks to everyone. Wouldn’t that be something if we could all come together?
I know a number of people who are also sewing masks. I can’t sew, but I found this no sew face mask video.
Luckily, I had a unicorn bandana from 1991 on my desk, so I whipped out this mask and used it on my grocery run.
A week ago I saw one person with a mask, today it was 3/4’s of the people in the store. That’s a good sign, right?
The mask worked pretty well. I did have issues with the rubber bands coming off my ears when I bent to grab stuff from the cart to pay. I’ll try different rubber bands next time. Or see if I can get a kid to sew a mask for me. 🙂
Do you wear a mask when you go out? Has wearing a mask caught on where you live?
The mask idea is very good for those that cant get any. I was fortunate to buy some before the pandemic. I wanted my dad who is 89 to wear a mask when going out in the winter months. Now we are using them for this new purpose.
People in my area have to wear masks. It is mandatory. Its written on all store doors and windows of places that are open.
I don’t think they have mandated it here yet, but I do think it is coming. Unless you have the medical grade ones, I think the power is if we all wear them. We live in a crazy world right now.
Yes. New Jersey and New York has mandated everyone wear a mask.
